December Santa

Hi Everyone,

Here is my December ornament. The design is by Prairie Schooler from the December 2008 issue of The Gift of Stitching magazine.
Stitched on 32 count Jobelan with DMC threads.
Thank you Jennifer for organising this SAL and Happy Christmas to you all.

Finished

...and so they are finished. It has been great to have this group to stitch along with.

This won't be the best way to display the set, but it does show them as a group. The individuals have been posted along the way. I did buy the tree for them, but they're larger than I anticipated, so the tree will come in handy for other ornaments, and my plan for these is to go into my son's "hope chest" for some day in the future.

Click on the image to see a little better. This on shows the tiny tatted ring I made for each as a hanger. They will be best with an actual hanger, which I will include, but for now they're hung by the thread.

Happy Holidays to one and all!

The Prairie Schooler
"A Prairie Year"
27ct. Natural Linen

With this ornament, my Bride's Tree ornament set is complete, even finished! Here is a picture of all 12 ornaments. They are in order of the months they represent.

Thanks to Jennifer for organizing this SAL. It is a great way to get a set of ornaments done by Christmas. I had alot of fun with it.

My set will be going to my friend's daughter as a wedding gift.

Newbie

Hello everyone,
My name is Carolyn & I'm excited about stitching these ornaments. I plan to start in Jan. and hopefully keep up with the months. I've been looking at all of yours and they are lovely - such an encouragement to get them done. Thanks for the inspiration!
