My Quaker Teapot

Stitched in Belle Soie Hula Skirt, Peacock and Oatmeal Scone on 28 ct raw Belfast linen. The shape of the teapot was borrowed from a Cross Stitch Gold chart ... but, like a child with a coloring book, I filled in the outline to suit my purposes. I finished it as I have been finishing all my ornaments: a fringed pillow with a hemp cord hanger.

September ornament

Here is my September "Teapot" ornament. The design is from DMC (DMC Club). I stitched on 18ct white aida with the listed DMC and DMC color variations threads. I stitched on both sides of this ornament.

Happy Stitching!

Catching up to August

September & October ornaments

Finished two but late posting as I was travelling.
Two freebie I found on the internet which were really quick to stitch.
The coffee pot was from Kissy Kross and the pinecone from Blog di Gloria.
Two more to go before December 1st and then finishing.

LATE OFFERING FOR SEPTEMBER

September- teapot- hospitality.

I have not found a teapot design that I felt I wanted to stitch....... so meanwhile to be hospitable I would offer you a cup of tea, only there is a dragon sleeping in my teacup!!!!

This is a freebie design from Dragon Dreams called a "Spot of Tea" I have not yet mounted it to match my set in case I do find a teapot design.

My Quaker Fish

I couldn't find a chart in the Quaker style for a fish so I designed my own. Stitched on 28ct Glasgow Raw linen in Belle Soie Foo Foo Flamingo, Old Black Crow and Fern Frond, here are front and back views.

Moving Right Along

I constructed this design using Quaker motifs from some Workbasket charts in my possession ... in keeping with my attempt to complete the entire SAL in the Quaker style. I am currently working on a design of a Fish using Quaker motifs as well. With any luck I shall have caught up to the October ornament by the end of the month.

Finally: the May ornament

This is Aury's Bird in a Nest, stitched on 28ct Glasgow Raw Linen in Belle Soie silks Chester Blue, Chocolat and Fern Frond. Front and back views. A Quaker design, just like my Jan-Apr ornaments.
I have started on the June ornament which I am designing myself pretty much as I go along, since I couldn't find an ornament sized Quaker fruit basket chart. I expect I'll have to design the July ornament as well.

August & September

Both of these I found on the links here, and used pieces of the patterns to keep them the same relative size.
