Another ornament finished.
This is a Heart in Hand design from the
2002 Just Cross Stitch Christmas
ornaments magazine.
I will have to say these magazines have
come in handy so far for this SAL.
Glad to have another ornament done.

Jill's May Ornament

Whew! I made it!

Here is my ornament for May. It is an Angel Stitchin' design from the 2003 Just Cross Stitch ornament magazine.

The picture of the back is a little fuzzy but I think you can tell what it says.

May birdies

Wow. Barely done in time! It's been a busy month.
I like bright red cardinals, but thought I'd go in a different direction this time.

May Birds

Here are my two ornaments for May. Both are freebies from the Victoria Sampler. Both are stitched on fabric from my stash, with leftover kit threads. I finished the first one a couple of weeks ago and the second one tonight.

Cardinal on confederate grey linen.

Chickadee on unknown linen (it's lighter than platinum).

Love Ewe

Love Ewe (by Lizzie Kate) is my February Bride's tree Ornie. I did get it started in Feb, on the plane to FL to be exact, at the beginning of Feb. But then other things in life completely took over and it was a good month or more before I even got back into stitching.

Love Ewe was stitched on Garnet 18 ct aida and a mix of Weeks and DMC.

I may have mentioned that I am doing a second set for my nephew's wedding next year. Here are the first two for him.

For January:

Title: Home for Christmas (only part of design) by Brightneedle - in the JCS magazine ornament issue 2005 (I stitched the tree differently than how they had it in the pattern.)

April Rabbit

I am a little late with the rabbit but here is what I have finished:

Hope has been finished since the end of April, but I'm just getting to posting it.

The May Freebies are up!

Birds are a very popular cross stitch motif, so it wasn't hard finding a whole bunch of cute freebies for this month's theme. I've verified all the links, so as of this morning, they're all active and working.

As usual, the freebies from the previous month have joined the archive and will be available as long as the websites continue to host them. However, if you see something you like, it's always best to download a copy of the pattern and either save or print it. You never know when a pattern will be removed!
