March ornament

Here is my March "Flower" ornament. The designs are from The Floss Box. These designs were freebies, but now I can not find them on the free pattern pages. I stitched on 16ct white aida with the listed DMC threads and put the small clear buttons in the center.

I'm not good at English so I do not often comment to other posts, sorry... but I really love and enjoy everyone's wonderful works! Many thanks!
Happy stitching and see you next time...

March Ornament

Hello,
this is my March ornament.
This is taken from the chart "Poinsettia House" by Little House Needleworks.
This is not finished yet, but i am going to use the fabric you see in the picture for the back.

I hope you like it, see you in April!

My March finish

I chose to stitch a lavendar humbug from a recent issue of World of Cross Stitching and topped with hand-dyed ribbon from Vikki Clayton. This is my first humbug, and I love lavendar, so I put a bit of lavendar in it to make it scented.

My March Flower Ornament

I stitched this last Friday, but didn't get it put together until today after work.  The pink background is the fabric I used for the back of the ornament.  The design is from a free booklet that came with a recent Cross Stitch Crazy magaine.  The booklet has designs for 12 floral gift sets.  I used a scrap of white fabric and DMC floss.

Happy Stitching Everyone!

March

A poor photo but this is my "basket of flowers". I used Aury's pattern and it's a joy to stitch, as all her patterns are. Used up a peachy colored scrap of fabric. I like it but it's not too Christmasy. Think I'll stitch it again with red, white and pink flowers as they do remind of poinsettias.

March "Basket of Flowers"

This is my March "basket of flowers" - an adapted version of the Country Cottage Needleworks Christmas ornament in JCS Ornaments issue 2007. I rather like the way this has turned out and a good size too.

L*K 'Bloom'

Here is my March finish :D

My ornaments are being stitched for a specific friend who loves country/cute/whimsical things... this one she will adore!

Still stuck on January

When I posted a photo of the stitching finish of my January ornament, one commentor was kind enought to ask to see the finish finish, both sides ... so here are the photos.

I have been delayed in getting to the February and March ornaments because I ordered the wrong linen. I have no LNS in my area so I rely on online shops ... and unfortunately not everything one sees on a computer monitor is true to actual color. As a consequence I ordered Glasgow linen in a shade called Flax when I should have ordered [I think] a shade called Raw Linen. I will be correcting that error later this week and hope to catch up on my ornament stitching by the end of the month. I have two more Workbasket Quaker style charts lined up for February and March to remain consistent with the look of the January ornament. And both should be relatively quick stitches. I am going to have research future monthly themes, attempting to keep the whole set looking Quakerish. This SAL is turning out to be both a joy and a challenge ... a challenge because I seem to have a knack for making things more complicated than they have to be.
Once I get my fabric, I think I'll try to get a jump on things by stitching the backs for the rest of the year ... with the key words and the monogram ... that project would make perfect "waiting room" or "lunch hour" stitching.

Basket of Roses

Here is my March contribution a Basket of Flowers.
I stitched the basket in cross stitch from an old chart ( source unknown) using a hand dyed thread and added Bullion stitch roses ( perle 12) to complete the piece.
