A lovely tradition from Germany is the Bride's Tree. It is believed that a couple's Christmas tree needs twelve specific ornaments for happiness in their life journey together.
Here is my ornament for March . I still need to stitch it together, but you can see it will be a diamond shape with the hanger on the top point. The pattern is from the Containers section, p. 25, in the Better Homes and Gardens 2001 Cross Stitch Designs book.
There are 12 themes for ornaments, and you're welcome to pick your own patterns or borrow an idea from someone else. There are no set patterns, only themes. Click here for a full explanation.
