A lovely tradition from Germany is the Bride's Tree. It is believed that a couple's Christmas tree needs twelve specific ornaments for happiness in their life journey together.
I have been a member of this SAL for a while, but never posted a photo of this finish. This is a Julia Lucas ornament from a JCS issue. I stitched it two summers ago, finished it in July. It hung on our tree this year for the first time.
There are 12 themes for ornaments, and you're welcome to pick your own patterns or borrow an idea from someone else. There are no set patterns, only themes. Click here for a full explanation.
