A lovely tradition from Germany is the Bride's Tree. It is believed that a couple's Christmas tree needs twelve specific ornaments for happiness in their life journey together.
I found this Pinecone for October in The Gift of Stitching mag. I don't remember the year right now. I changed the chart a little to make it mine and I am pleased with the results.
I love this ornament ... I have already stitched it once as charted for a gift and will be adapting it for my purposes, making it look a bit more Quaker like for my October ornament.
There are 12 themes for ornaments, and you're welcome to pick your own patterns or borrow an idea from someone else. There are no set patterns, only themes. Click here for a full explanation.

Yours is truly lovely.
That is a really neat design must look through my GOS to see if I have it. Thank you for sharing where it came from
Thanks. I will check for the issue number for you.
Great choice! I'll also have to look at my GOS mags to see if I have that one.
